Baby's Body Wrapped in Cloth Found Dumped in Garbage in Phnom Penh

PHNOM PENH: The body of a baby was found in a garbage bag wrapped up in blood-soaked cloth and dumped in the garbage near the fence of the Royal University of Agriculture in Sangkat Dangkor, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh.

Dangkor commune chief, Soeung Serey, confirmed to EAC News that a dead newborn baby was found dumped in the garbage. After the discovery, the baby's body was sent to a pagoda for a proper funeral ceremony.

According to the commune chief, the baby's cause of death is still unknown, and the authorities are currently searching for the parents and relatives.

Many were shocked by this incident and have expressed sympathy for the baby as well as shared their thoughts on this heinous act. Members of the public have said that if the baby had died at birth, the parents should have at least buried the body properly and not dumped their child in the garbage without any pity.
